I was a teacher in the Virginia Beach City Public School System for 7 years. I taught third grade and fourth grade gifted cluster classes. Every year I participated in before school and after school tutoring, as well as an advanced math club and SCA. Recently I made the tough decision to leave the classroom and stay home with my three young children. They are 3, 2, and 1 years old. Teaching was a passion of mine and I do plan to return to the classroom when my children are school age. Tutoring is a way for me to earn money while staying at home, as well as do something I love which is teaching children.
