I received my bachelor's degree in elementary education and my master's degree in teaching from Virginia Commonwealth University. I've taught elementary school students for several years and have also spent time tutoring students who were struggling in math and reading. I believe it is vital to catch reading and math deficiencies at an early age in order to give children the best chance to achieve academic success.I tutor several courses, including elementary math, English, reading, phonics, writing, social studies, and life sciences. I also enjoy helping students improve their study skills and organizational skills in order to facilitate greater academic growth. I strive to create an engaging and fun learning environment. As a tutor, I like to bring in real-world examples and give students plenty of opportunities for interactive experiences. During my free time, I enjoy reading, hiking, and spending time at the beach.
