Experience
-I have been tutoring for several years, and have tutored students ranging in age from 4 to 18. I have provided lessons for math classes, as well as for test preparation (SAT, ACT, SOL). -I have taken the PSAT, SAT and ACT (so I am well accustomed to standardized testing), and I previously attended the Princeton Review SAT prep course so I have knowledge of some of the tips and tricks when test-taking. -I was always ahead of my grade in mathematics and my engineering major ensured that I stay well-versed in math. Some of the university mathematics courses I have taken include: Calculus I-IV, Applied Mathematics, and Statistics with Calculus. -I thoroughly enjoy tutoring and being able to have a positive impact on students' lives and help them reach their academic potential. I understand that all students learn differently, and am willing to try different methods or approaches until the concept clicks for each particular student. -I was also in ROTC during my college years, and have learned how to manage my time well, and be able to lead from the front. The leadership skills I developed, in addition to my natural caring nature, have allowed me to find creative and adaptive ways to capture students' attention and keep them engaged in the lesson.
