I am very knowledgeable of mathematics and have tutored and taught the subject for some time. Beginning as an undergrad, when I'd work at Math Lab, I would teach subjects ranging from algebra to AP calculus, and have taught at Bayside High School and Tidewater Community College. I can even teach differential equations. At Bayside, my students attained a passing rate for the Standards of Learning program of 96%. I also have high success rates for the college courses I teach. While I teach in class and hybrid courses, my preference is to teach online. I am familiar with web conferencing and hold regular online office hours so am therefore extremely accessible.Approaching tutoring as a mentor or coach, I try to encourage my students to do their best regardless of the challenges and tough subjects they face. I think all students can do well in school and at math and have found it very convenient to reach out via the Internet. As a student, I went to Christopher Newport University and Old Dominion University. When not working or tutoring, I enjoy classical and pop music, animals, football, and anything involving math. I currently live in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
