I graduated from the University of Virginia with a Bachelor of Science degree. I majored in Chemistry (specialization in biochemistry) and Spanish (specialization in Literature and Culture). I completed an honor's thesis and graduated with Highest Distinction. I subsequently graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a Master of Science degree in Chemistry.
Experience
I have served as a teaching assistant and laboratory instructor for several undergraduate courses, including biochemistry, organic chemistry, and general chemistry. I am familiar with the obstacles that students commonly face, especially in the study of the biological and chemical sciences, as well as how to overcome them. I have worked with students of all levels, including students with no science background and students that are science majors.
