April S.
Private tutor in Virginia Beach, VA
Education
I majored in Classics (the study of Latin and ancient Greek, as well as the study of the Greco-Roman civilizations) at the University of Pittsburgh and graduated summa cum laude in 2000 with a GPA of 3.82. I completed my M.A. in Classics at Pitt in 2004 with a GPA of 3.75. I then took education classes at the University of Phoenix and ended with a GPA of 3.75. I am currently enrolled in the Latin and Roman Studies doctoral program through the University of Florida, in which I have a 4.0 GPA.
Experience
I have tutored privately before; beyond that, I have been teaching Latin for the past sixteen years and enjoy working with students of varying abilities and interests. I would like to be a tutor to both supplement my income and work and continue working with students. Additionally, in 2016 I won the Benario Fellowship from the Classical Association of MidWestern and Southern States.
